This is just an overview of classes. For each course, a complete syllabus is available by searching the University Web Syllabus system.
Undergraduate Lectures:
* Introduction to Economics
... an introduction to the study of Economics provided in the English language. We will cover topics in both microeconomics and macroeconomics. This course will introduce you to the main tools used in economic analysis.
This semester 2 version of the "Introduction to Economics" course has a more mathematical focus than the version offered in semester 1.
* International Economic Theory
... an introduction to International Economic Theory provided in the English language. We will focus on a variety of trade theories and model which explain the scale, pattern and types of international trade and financial transactions.
This will lead to discussions of policies which affect the scale and types of trade.
* International Trade in Japan and Asia
... examination of the trade patterns and policies for Japan and its main trading partners. We will review the relevant economic models explaining as well as conducting empirical examination of real trade trends looking at historic and current events will be covered. As part of the course, student will be expected to undertake an assignment examining a particular industry of their choice.

Postgraduate Lectures:
MEcon Programme: Masters Courses
* International Economic Theory
A course on International Economic Theory for the MEcon programme. This course will cover a variety of trade theories and models as well as supplimental readings.
* International Trade in Japan & Asia
MEcon programme course which will examining trade and economic integration in Asia with a focus on Japan and its trading partners. We will review the relevant economic models explaining the scale, pattern and types of international trade and financial transactions. Empirical examination of real trade trends looking at historic and current events will be covered.
DEcon Programme: Doctoral Courses
* Doctoral Programme Course: Advanced Readings in International Trade
This is a DEcon programme course class in which students will critically read selected papers in various aspects of international trade. Classes will consist of collective discussion and evaluation of the methods and analysis of the papers.
